The main responsibility of Ningbo Sports Bureau:
1.Implement and carry out something about sporting policies, strategies and rules which are announced by the country and province. And research and draw up a local sporting policy.
2.Formulate the sporting development strategy and aim, and establish the medium-term and long-term plans and annual projects in the whole city. In addition to organize the implementation, supervision and examination, this impels sports reform and sports undertakings development.
3.Organize the enforcement of the Program of Striving for Olympic Glory. Make overall plans on the set and layout of citywide sporting events. Through the instruction to physical training and sporting scientific research in order to cultivate and supply high-quality talents. Manage and conduct the work of sports game in the whole city and undertake the great sports games held in our city. Furthermore, assist the department concerned to complete the school sports.
4.Conduct to put National Fitness Program Outline into practice, which guides coordinates and supervises all kinds of districts, fields, departments and public organizations to take positive parts in sports activities and sports propaganda and education. Put National Physical Training Standards into effect, so as to conduct the nation-wide surveys on physiques, take a train on social sports cadres and social sports instructors, and boost the work of sports socialized and promote fitness campaign universal.
5.Foster and develop sports industry, put under centralized management of sports market by specialized departments, and set out the policies and regulations, employment conditions, and management rules on physical fitness entertainment, sports competition, training service, technical information counsel, sports club, sports operating activities. 9.Reinforce the industry spiritual civilization and cadre and worker team construction, and strengthen ideological and political work. Develop a team which includes high-quality coaches, athletes, social sports instructors, sports operators and sports administrators.
